Oakley is incredibly loyal, affectionate, and happiest when she gets to be the center of her person’s world. She loves walks, chasing tennis balls, sunbathing, and of course, believing she’s a lap dog despite her size! 

Oakley has something important to say: it’s okay to want to be an only dog. 

She doesn’t enjoy sharing her home with other dogs, and that’s okay! Some dogs simply thrive when they have their people all to themselves. Cagney is almost completely housebroken and is doing great with his potty training. He occasionally has a little trouble letting his foster family know when he needs to go out and has had a few  mishaps, but he’s learning quickly and improving every day. He also does well in a crate. He may protest with a little crying at first, but he settles down nicely once he realizes it’s time to relax.

Angel is listed as a 4½-year-old, 20-pound mixed breed, although honestly, it’s hard to tell exactly what she’s a mix of. What we do know is that she’ll be whatever you want her to be, as long as you love her.

Hello, My name is Six Seven. I'm a 3 years old, wire haired mix and I weigh about 50lbs. Don't let that weight full you. Most of it is heart. I'm just a big cuddle bug who loves ear and belly rubs. My new family had an established dog already. It didn't take long for us to begin playing and running around my foster families backyard. They don't have any cats or young children. I'm not sure how I would react around them, but I think I would like them. I do get along well with my foster brother. We play a lot. Once I'm in a crate I don't make any noise. Meet Duke! This handsome 1 year old, 63 lb neutered Lab mix from West Virginia is equal parts sweet and goofy. With his classic Lab personality, Duke is full of love, always ready to play, and guaranteed to keep you smiling.

Duke would thrive in an active home, whether with a family or an individual, especially one that enjoys outdoor adventures. He walks nicely on a leash and would make an excellent hiking partner. He also loves playing with other dogs and is currently being fostered with three pups his size, all of whom he gets along with great.

He’s also living with two cats: one confident kitty he ignores, and another who likes to run, which Duke sometimes thinks is an invitation to play. Importantly, he’s shown no aggression.

Duke appears to be fully potty trained and settles well in his crate with a little encouragement. He’s smart, responsive, and listens well, making him easy to redirect if needed.

One thing to note, Duke is quite the athlete! A fence won’t always stop him if he spots a squirrel or a potential playmate, so he’ll need supervision or a secure setup when outside. That said, he much prefers sticking close to his people or playing with a canine friend.
