Beth is an approximately 3 year old, 15lbs, wire-haired Chiweenie from WV who came to us pregnant, then gave birth to 6 healthy puppies. Beth is the absolute best mother that any puppy could hope for. She even mothers all of the other foster puppies. Beth can be a bit shy at first, she's terrified of loud noises, but once she gets to know you, she is a total love bug. Her favorite thing is to cuddle in her foster mother's lap.
Beth has a few heart conditions that make her special. Despite these conditions, she currently does not need any medication. Beths cardiologist is happy to go over her diagnosis with a potential adopter. At this time, her only “need” will be periodic bloodwork to make sure that her heart is still working as it should. Due to these heart conditions, anesthesia is not recommended. Therefore, Beth has not been spayed. Say Hey to Amber. She is a 5 year old spayed Cattle dog mix. Amber came to us with her four babies Amber became very sick due to heartworms and was unable to care for them. So the babies were bottle fed. So we could treat Amber as soon as possible because that was her best chance for her and them. Amber went through two rounds of treatment and lots of meds. She just tested negative so now is her time to find a family to care and love her really that’s all she wants. She is housebroken. Crate trained. Amber prefers a calm house. Pip is looking for a loving family to give him the life he deserves. He is a young 7 years old in Italian Greyhound years. (They are known to live into their late teens!) He weighs 11 lbs, was recently neutered and is on a special soft diet, due to having only his canine teeth remaining.

Pip’s life hasn’t been easy—he was used as a breeding dog, malnourished, and confined in a small pen on wood chips! Despite his isolation and lack of basic care and comfort, this little guy is full of love for humans and eager to learn. He needs a home with another small dog/s for companionship and confidence. He is learning so much from his foster siblings. Snuggling with them has become one of his favorite activities.

Pip is a delicate boy and can get spooked easily. He will do best in a home without small children and large dogs. The ideal home for Pip is one where someone is home most of the day to help him continue his house training, and make up for the years of loneliness he endured. While he currently wears a male belly band diaper, he is making progress every day. He will not poop on a leash, and should not be outside for long periods in cold weather, so a fenced yard is a must. Pip gets very excited about treats and walks, but he’s basically a couch potato. Meet Raven! Raven is the absolutely most adorable little 11 month old, 24 lb Cane Corso mix! Raven absolutely loves people and other dogs, but does like to jump a bit in her excitement to get your attention. She is doing well with her potty training for her foster family. Raven’s foster family does have cats, and while she shows zero aggression, if they run, she will chase them. She thinks it’s great fun, but they disagree. Raven is very food motivated, which should make training a breeze! She does ok in her crate after a bit of initial loud complaining. Hello, My name is Blue and I am a beautiful 37lbs terrier mix, you will fall in love with my eyes. I am around 5 years old, am spayed, house broken and crate trained. I LOVE car rides, walks, cuddling and playing fetch. I also love kids and have undergone professional dog training so I am the bestest girl. I am currently looking for a home where I can be the only pet. While I love people, I don’t love other pets. My current foster family has pets, so they have to do this thing called rotations with me. They are trying their best, but rotations mean that family time is split between me and the other dogs in the home. While ½ of the time with my foster family is better then being at a shelter and getting no family time, foster mom tells me I deserve a family who doesn’t have to do rotations. I do admit, I like sleeping in bed with my foster family, it sure would be nice to have my own family where I could do that every night. Petey is not a fan of the cold weather here in MD and needs to gain a little bit more weight, but he is getting used to it with the help of some sweaters. He is estimated to be 3 years young and has loved everyone and every dog he has met so far.
