Raven
About Me
Meet Raven! Raven is the absolutely most adorable little 11 month old, 24 lb Cane Corso mix! Raven absolutely loves people and other dogs, but does like to jump a bit in her excitement to get your attention. She is doing well with her potty training for her foster family. Raven’s foster family does have cats, and while she shows zero aggression, if they run, she will chase them. She thinks it’s great fun, but they disagree. Raven is very food motivated, which should make training a breeze! She does ok in her crate after a bit of initial loud complaining. Raven still does need to be spayed, which the rescue will work with you in getting done. If you’re interested in making Raven a part of your family, get your application in soon, this cutie won’t be around long!Chelsea

Raya
About Me
Are you ready for a big, sweet, lovable, ball of energy to join your family? Then Raya is your girl and is only 23 lbs!! She gives love as much as she wants your love. The vet says she is about 2yo, but she's got puppy energy. In her Foster home she's always ready for a play session- whether it's toys, her human foster brother, or fetching balls in the yard. Raya loves to run, so a fenced backyard would be ideal. If not, she's making due in her foster home with lots of walks/trots in the neighborhood. Raya has done well with the neighborhood dogs, but she's a bit too reactive to the family cats. Either a non- feline home or one where they can be separated is best. Raya is relearning her potty training, but she is catching on pretty quicklyBoots

Duke
About Me
Meet Duke! This handsome 1 year old, 63 lb neutered Lab mix from West Virginia is equal parts sweet and goofy. With his classic Lab personality, Duke is full of love, always ready to play, and guaranteed to keep you smiling.Duke would thrive in an active home, whether with a family or an individual, especially one that enjoys outdoor adventures. He walks nicely on a leash and would make an excellent hiking partner. He also loves playing with other dogs and is currently being fostered with three pups his size, all of whom he gets along with great.
He’s also living with two cats: one confident kitty he ignores, and another who likes to run, which Duke sometimes thinks is an invitation to play. Importantly, he’s shown no aggression.
Duke appears to be fully potty trained and settles well in his crate with a little encouragement. He’s smart, responsive, and listens well, making him easy to redirect if needed.
One thing to note, Duke is quite the athlete! A fence won’t always stop him if he spots a squirrel or a potential playmate, so he’ll need supervision or a secure setup when outside. That said, he much prefers sticking close to his people or playing with a canine friend.
Duke is truly a gem, loving, playful, and full of personality. Don’t miss your chance to add this sweet, fun-loving boy to your family!

Chochi
About Me
Chochi is a 6-year-old Shih Tzu. He came into the animal shelter as a stray and was transferred to Double Dog Dare Rescue. Chochi is a sweet loving boy but very fearful and skittish. If he gets scared he will growl and even nips. He would do best in a home with one person and no other pets. Chochi loves to go for walks and does exceptionally well on a leash and is house-trained. Chochi hates his crate but once in he sleeps all night without a peep. As his foster, I have found him to be very dedicated to me. He follows me wherever I go. He did well with my 3 & 5 yr old grandsons, giving them kisses and wanting to be with them wherever they were. Because of his fearfulness, Chochi will need someone who is willing to be patient with him and to help him feel comfortable and safe in his new environment. If you want to give him the blessing of a happy home, he is available for adoption through Double Dog Dare Rescue.Kiki
Kiki
About Me
Kiki is a 10 week old female (Terrier (x) Chihuahua) that gets along really well with other puppies and full grown dogs. Today Kiki is living at her foster home with her sister Kolby and an adult dog and they all get along really well with each other.Kiki is also great with people, young and old alike. She warms up instantly to people and gets extremely excited when she sees you.
Running through the house and play fighting with Kolby (sister) is by far Kiki’s favorite thing to do through the day. When she tires out she goes right back into her playpen and snuggles with her puppy friend and takes long naps before starting the cycle all over again.
She loves all her meals and is very food motivated so further training Kiki will be easy. She is already showing signs of an obedient and a trainable pup. She uses the pee-pad if she needs to go while she is in the house. Otherwise she does all her business in the backyard. Each time she uses the pad or the yard she is treated with goodies.
Kiki loves the backyard and enjoys playing fetch. She will fetch a ball or even a stick will do. She is slowly learning the part where she needs to bring back the ball and “drop” but that is something she will pickup very easily.
She loves to give you kisses and will snuggle up with you at any time of the day. But when she is tired she likes to be in her crate or playpen

Sparky
About Me
Hi my name is Sparky and my foster Mom says it really suits me. I’m a sweet terrier mix (looks like long hair Jack Russell) that still has some spunk. I know how to sit and I listen pretty well. My age is unknown but we are guessing I’m about 5-8 years old. I love to lounge around in the house but my favorite thing to do is going for walks. I love everyone I meet, but the little people scare me so NO CHILDREN is a must for my new home. I get along with my foster sister dogs but I would be fine as an only dog. I’ve never been in a crate before so I prefer not to go in one. I don’t like being alone. I will sleep all night beside you but I cry nonstop if I’m separated from you in a crate. I’m totally house trained but you will need to figure out my signal. I did start to mark in the house when I first got here but was told no and I haven’t done it since. I’m a barky little guy once I get settled and comfy in my home. I met the cats and boy are they fun to chase!! I ended up here because my person passed away unexpectedly and no arrangement had been made for me. The neighbors let me stay with them until the rescue found me a foster home. I have a lot of love to give. If you would like to meet me please contact Double Dog Dare RescuePaul

About Me
3m. 11lbs. Black Lab Retriever mix (best guess) She has a bit more energy than her sister and a bit more vocal (not a barker). But that does not take away from her absolute willingness to be your favorite paw friend. Her paws would signify probably a M-L dog full grown. Lulu does get a bit more excited on a leash and super curious about other 4-legged friends. We have already been introduced to a stay at home cat who she loves to investigate. Plenty of sized dogs (a bit weary in the beginning but my belly soon is exposed for play!). As well as varied aged humans! She might do better with older kids as she does not know her own strength just yet. We are mostly potty pad trained, crate trained and know sit, come, kisses, noTango

Moxie
About Me
This pretty little lady is Moxie and she is about 4 years old and all of 11 lbs.She is a bit nervous when first meeting people, but with a bit of patience and lots of yummy treats she warms up quickly. A feeling of apprehensivness currently surrounds her but we believe she will blossom in a home that is ready to give her the space and support that she needs to become more confident.
Moxie loves other dogs and would excel in a home with a dog companion. She would likely do well with cats as well. Because of her nervous nature we think she would do best in a home with no children

Betty Lou
About Me
Betty Lou came to our rescue as a neglect case. After some TLC, good antibiotics and 3 surgeries...she is ready for her forever homeBetty Lou is an approximate 8 year old mastiff (over 100lbs). Don't let her age scare you, she now has a clean bill of health and a lot of love to give. If considering adopting, ask yourself these questions:
Would you enjoy having a 4 legged shadow?
Are you ever cold at night and think, wow a dog to keep me warm sure would be nice?
Ever have concerns that your sofa may run away and a dog to hold it down would be just the trick?
Need a companion for car rides?
Enjoy the sound of dog snores?
If you answered YES to all of these questions, then Betty Lou is the girl for you! Betty Lou is also house broken, spayed, dog/cat friendly and loves kids. We assume a man was not nice to her at some point in her life because she is shy around men (warms up in time).
Please reach out if Betty Lou sounds like the dog for you

About Me
Hi I'm Augusta, an approximately 13 week old mixed breed female. I'm sweet and sassy. Definitely the alpha to my brother's beta. I thump him when he needs it and even more when he doesn't
I love to snuggle with my foster family. I like to play with the Golden Retriever puppy that comes to visit but those big dogs can stay on their side of the house until I'm bigger. When everyone is home and they take me out every 2 hours I do great with potty time. I am pretty good with the puppy pads too though. I don't mind sleeping in my crate and normally make it 6 hours with no accidents at night. I stay close when outside and come when called. I do LOVE to run though and would love a nice yard to play in. One look at my dots and you'll be in love Mater

Kylee
About Me
Meet “smiley” Kylee!!! This sweet girl is a high spirited love bug. She is a 1yr old, 40lb-ish (still needs to gain a bit more weight) Hound/Lab/Pointer mix. She is up to date on vaccines, completely house-trained, and microchipped. Kylee still needs to be spayed which is financially taken care of by the Rescue. Kylee is dog friendly and loves to run around the backyard with her current foster brothers. She would do well in a forever home with another dog or can also be an “only dog” because of how much she loves “her people”. She is a bit of a jumper (we are working on better manners) so a family with older children would be better. She is very eager to please and being food motivated is a plus with training. Unconditional love and devotion is the best way to describe this girl. She was found in Louisiana completely emaciated but still smiled and wagged her tail gratefully while eating her much needed meal. The crate is not her favorite place to be but she does eventually settle especially with a (safe) yummy treat. She is great in the car and is getting better with leash walking but will need more practice as she is just so happy and excited for walks. Kylee LOVES toys, the squeakier the better!! Seeing her with toys and playing is so heartwarming when knowing her very tough beginning. Kylee loves to be with her person/people and will lay across you or next to you in the funniest pretzel like positions— she is the silliest girl! Kylee will make an amazing running or hiking buddy— she has great stamina and a real lust for life!! Run don’t walk to get your app in— this girl is pure joy!Kenzie

About Me
Hi, I'm Dolce, a 4-year-old, 40lbs petite shepherd mix. My litter of puppies and I came to Maryland from Louisiana. The babies have all been adopted and now I'm waiting for my forever home. My foster family says I'm a well-mannered girl who loves to give kisses. I am spayed and housebroken. I don’t care for the crate, they say I have some separation anxiety but I am working on it! I can be unsure of new dogs at first, so will need slow introductions if my new Forever home has other dogs. I've had limited exposure to cats but didn't pay much attention to them. I even had a chicken who was obsessed with me and I was very gentle with her. I love to walk, ride in the car, and eat pup cups. My favorite thing is to spend time with my family and I LOVE the outdoors. If you have as much love and patience to give as I do, then I'd like to meet you!Monique

Sugar
About Me
Hi I’m Sugar a 2 yr spayed chihuahua mix, and although I’m sweet as can be I can have a slight sour side when meeting new people. What do you mean by that? Well I came up from the South as a stray and when I met my foster family I bonded with them quickly especially the man! I mean I have a nice home, warm meals, cozy bed and laps to lay on whenever I want!My foster mom said my forever family will be the same way I just need to be brave like I was for her
Here’s some other wonderful things she has to say about me:Sugar is a lovely pup who is potty and crate trained, gets along with resident dogs, doesn’t mind cats, good with our grandkids when they visit but does need to respect her size and space. Only barks when alerting us of visitors and loves to follow us around or lounge in our laps!
Hank
Hank
About Me
Meet Hank!!! Aka Hank the Tank, Hanky Panky, and Stanky Hanky.
Hank is a 13 week old Hound mix - any other guesses? He arrived in Maryland last week from Louisiana. He is working hard with potty training. Hank is very food motivated which is helpful with puppy training. He is curious of cats but not aggressive, loves people and other dogs. The crate is not his favorite place—he tends to protest but does eventually settle. He loves toys but have found his favorite things are empty water bottles (loves the crunchy sound and chasing them as they roll) and rawhide alternative chew sticks— the crate is not so bad with one of those! Hank is a very active puppy who will in turn need a very active adopter/family to help burn his energy and redirect certain behaviors (normal puppy silliness). Hank was a bottle fed baby so he will suck on your finger to settle himself (Trust me - it’s adorable ) He is vaccinated appropriate to his age. He will be available for adoption on 4/21/23 but can be pre-adopted now!! Oreo

He has lived with cats and is uninterested in them. The crate is not his favorite place to be but he does eventually settle especially with a (safe) yummy treat. He walks well on a leash and is great in the car! Koa loves toys, the squeakier the better!! He is one of the calmest puppies we’ve ever fostered. He sleeps through the night (out of the crate) and has been trustworthy. He settles easily and is happy to be hanging on the couch watching TV with you. He is a fantastically sweet and loving boy and any family would be very lucky to adopt him. St. Patrick’s Day
is right around the corner and Koa is definitely the pot of gold!! Stormy
Stormy
About Me
Meet Stormy! She is a 1.5year old Cane Corso Mix. Stormy is a quiet sweet girl who is shy at first, but warms up quickly. She is spayed, house broken, crate trained, walks well on a leash and loves car rides. The shelter where Stormy came from said that she doesn't do well with cats or cat sized dogs. Her current foster family doesn't have cats or small dogs so we have been unable to test her. She gets along with the dogs in her foster home who are all around her size. Don't miss out on this sweet girl!Charlie
Charlie
About Me
My name is Charlie. I am around 1 year old. My foster parents think I have beagle and greyhound in me. I'm not going to get any bigger but I will fill out. My forever family is going to need to have a lot of patience with me as I have not had the best start in life, I'm afraid of everything. I would flourish in a home with older or no children and I need at least 1 dog in the home. I walk well on the leash but I still need some work getting the leash on inside the house. Once I open up I am the sweetest dog, I love to play and run. I love any kind of toy and I'm a sucker for the blanket monster.Seraphina

About Me
Meet Seraphina
This sweet girl is about 8 months old and we think she might be a Catahoula mix—what do you think?
She is the definition of a little shadow… always wanting to be right by your side
but she also settles nicely in her crate like a good girl. She’s super food motivated (treats = instant best friend
) and is working on her leash skills—she loves her walks, even if she’s still in her “adorably clumsy puppy” phase.

Yuli
About Me
Hi!! My name is Yuli and I am a spayed, Heartworm negative, up to date on vaccines, microchipped Chihuahua. I hitched a ride to Maryland from Louisiana. I am about 3 years old and weigh 11lbs. My foster Mom says that I am feisty but in the best possible way. I am very independent and rather fearless. I take some time warming up to other dogs but I absolutely love people. I would be fine in a home as an only dog but could live with another small dog. I am completely house trained and crate trained. My favorite place to be is in your lap or perched up on the back of a chair/sofa to survey— hey being this little ain’t easy! I’m currently living with my 3 Foster siblings — they are okay but I’m more interested in all the lovins from my Foster parents. And hey— don’t even think about adopting me if you are unwilling to rub my belly at a minimum of 3 times a day!! Get those apps in because gals like me don’t hang around for long!Henrietta

She is housebroken, crate trained, great on the leash, spayed, and up to date on shots. This sweet girl is pretty low energy, but she does have a playful side. She loves squeaky toys and chew bones, but her favorite thing is following you room to room and laying near your feet.
Lua is lymes positive, and currently receiving treatment through the rescue. Lua does not need any additional treatment for this disease right now, and it does not cause her any issues. She is active, happy, and ready for a home of her own!
Lance
Lance
About Me
Meet Lance a shy but lovable 9 month old Terrier Boxer mix. Lance is very mild mannered and scares easily so small children are not a good fit for him. He gets along well with other dogs and loves to play once he is comfortable with them. He has only had 1 potty accident in the house and that was when the fosters grandchildren (6 & 4) were visiting and running wildly like children do. Lance is learning how to walk on a leash, something he didn’t have much experience with. He is very food motivated so training should be a breeze. Lance needs a quiet home with no small children but he dreams of another doggy friend that will play with him. Lance is neutered and ready to move into his furever homeAbby

About Me
Karter here
I am an almost 6 month old, terrier mix. I am about 30lbs, so I don't have much more growing to do. I still need to be neutured, but the rescue will arrange that with you! I am a sweet little guy who loves making friends (human, dog, and cat!). I am housebroken, crate trained, and very smart. I would love a fenced yard, and another dog to teach me the ropes. I am still a puppy, and could use some obedience classes, but I am eager to please and ready to learn! My favorite activities are fetch, snuggling, and wandering around outside. I'm looking for someone to give all my love and attention! Scooby
Scooby
About Me
Meet Scooby, an approximately 10-year-old chihuahua who is 6 lbs and all cuddles! Like many chihuahuas, Scooby came to us with bad teeth. The rescue took care of his dental and eating is once again his favorite thing to do. Scooby prefers the slower pace of life with cuddles and snuggles under blankets. But he still has lots of spunk and it's absolutely adorable when he gets the zoomies. Chihuahuas are known to live well into 16 years of age and we have no doubt with Scooby's excellent health that he would do the same!Linguine

Lola
About Me
This little lady is Lola and she is looking for a special family to adopt her. You see, Lola is deaf. But this does not hamper her love of life in the least. Lola is about 1 year old, spayed, crate-trained, and working on potty training. She is about 25lbs but does need to put on some weight. We expect to be about 30 lbs once there. Lola is full of energy and loves everyone. She will leap across the room to come sit on your lap and shower you with affection, but can also regularly be found romping around and wrestling with all her doggy friends. Lola has not spent much time around children but would likely do well with ones that are able to understand her condition. We also highly recommend having another dog in the house for her to look to for cues on what's going on.

Max
About Me
This boy is a GEM!! Meet Max! Max is an approximately 1.5 year old neutered retriever mix from WV. Max only weighs around 45 lbs now but could definitely stand to gain a few! Max is already neutered and housebroken! Max is a little anxious around new people and new situations, but once he warms up he is a huge snuggle bug! He tries to lay in your lap he wants to be so close to his person. Max is not a huge fan of the crate due to some past bad experiences, but after a little bit of protesting he settles down well. With some time and making sure he knows the crate is a nice space, he should do fine. Max is a medium energy guy, he very much enjoys playing with the dogs in his foster home, but he will definitely settle for a cuddle and a movie too. He’s also been friendly with the cat in his foster home. He did try to play with her, but there was no aggression, and he backed off right away after a little slap. Max is an absolutely gorgeous dog, and just the bestest boy. Any family would be lucky to add this guy to your home!Bessie

Kelsey
About Me
What’s up, my hoomans? I’m Kelsey! I like to identify as a petite baby land seal, weighing in at about 45lbs. Though, my foster mom calls me her house motorcycle. She says I snores when I’m asleep and I snorts when I’m awake! I say.. not my problem, I’m a princess
I’ve been ruling this place called Earth for somewhere around a year? My stomping grounds reside in Louisiana, where I was found as a stray after being hit by a vehicle and left. Through physical therapy, I’ve battled my way back from tough injuries, including a broken pelvis, like all resilient land seals usually do. Despite the unfortunate hand I was dealt, I refuse to let anything get me down! My foster mom has 3 other home dawgs at the house that I LOVE to play with. I’ve also recently met another furry friend the hoomans call a cat? I did well and was super curious, but didn’t chase it! I walk really well on a leash and even try to greet every person I walk by with a body wiggle and tail wag! My potty habits have improved and I barely have accidents in the house when I’m on a schedule. I’m truly one of a kind, if I say so myself! I would love to make your EVERY DAY merry with cuddles, kisses and companionship you didn’t know you’ve been missing Spaghetti

About Me
Say hello to Kento! Foster mom affectionately calls him Pinto Bean, however. Kento is a sweet 7-month old mixed breed pup, approximately 40lbs. Unfortunately, up until about a month ago, Kento has spent his life inside the four walls of a garage with little socialization with the outside world. So naturally, lots of aspects of the world has been a scary experience for this innocent boy. Despite his limited experience in the outside world, Kento LOVES dogs! He currently lives with 2 other dogs, and has met a ton others. He absolutely loves to play, hasn’t shown any signs of resource guarding with toys or food, but also loves a good lap cuddle! Kento has learned to love what life is like living as a normal dog. He does take some time warming up to new people, however, as one on one time is the most efficient way in gaining his trust and affection. He has best friend material written all over him, and even smiles when his foster mom calls him handsome! Kento is still learning his manners inside of a house with regards to his potty training, but he’s progressing well! This handsome boy would love nothing more than to continue falling in love with life with his forever family by his sideAngus

I play hard and I nap harder! My foster folks say I snore like an old man but I just don't believe them ! I love the outside and jumping around in the grass, with my big foster brother! I am learning this thing, where I go outside and walk around the house on what they call a leash. I'm also learning that I need to use the potty outside! I got a crate that is all mine that I can snuggle in at night time . It's a little scary but I don't mind it too much. I'm still just a little gal so I'll need to be spayed and chipped when I'm old enough. I've got a lot of love to give and learning to do! She is extremely smart, and will need a family who will give her lots of play-time. Catahoula Leaopard Dogs may have a high prey-drive, so a home without small animals is recommended Fred

Thanos (Arlo)
About Me
Thanos (or Arlo) is a sweet 11 month old lab mix boy of about 40lbs with super silky chocolate fur. He is a medium energy young pup, who loves to be next to his humans and play with other dogs. He listens and walks on the leash pretty well, is potty trained, he is not a fan of being in a crate, and has not shown any destructive habits at the foster home. He’s been great with our middle school kids and small dogs, while our smaller animals do not interest him at all. Thanos has been neutered, he is vaccinated, and would make a great addition to almost any family willing to give Thanos the love and care he deserves.Browning

Blue
Blue
About Me
Hello, My name is Blue and I am a beautiful 37lbs terrier mix, you will fall in love with my eyes. I am around 5 years old, am spayed, house broken and crate trained. I LOVE car rides, walks, cuddling and playing fetch. I also love kids and have undergone professional dog training so I am the bestest girl. I am currently looking for a home where I can be the only pet. While I love people, I don’t love other pets. My current foster family has pets, so they have to do this thing called rotations with me. They are trying their best, but rotations mean that family time is split between me and the other dogs in the home. While ½ of the time with my foster family is better then being at a shelter and getting no family time, foster mom tells me I deserve a family who doesn’t have to do rotations. I do admit, I like sleeping in bed with my foster family, it sure would be nice to have my own family where I could do that every night. If I sound like the kinda girl you could love forever, please let the rescue know! Thanks in advance! XOXO, BlueBruce

Louis Baton
About Me
Hi, I'm Louis Baton. I came to MD from Louisiana with my sister. I'm about four and a half months old. The vet says I'm a lab mix but my foster mom thinks I might have some Rottie in me as well. I'm sweet and playful. Running in the yard and playing with my toys are my favorite things to do. I'm crate trained and working on potty and leash training. I've had all of my puppy vaccines. Now I'm just looking for my forever family. Please apply to meet and adopt meDaisy
Daisy
About Me
Daisy recently found herself in need of a new home after her mom moved into assisted living, and she is more than ready to brighten up someone’s life. She’s an 8-year-old Bichon/Shih Tzu/Poodle/…mystery-mix, crafted from only the finest ingredients to create one extremely fabulous dog.And please — do not let the “8” fool you. This girl is powered by pure SPUNK. She greets every human like they’re a long-lost friend, does her happy dance with that tiny waggy tail, and hands out kisses like she’s running a fundraiser. Lap? She’s in it. Love? She’s got it.
Daisy is a total crate pro — it’s her cozy little studio apartment, and she comes and goes as she pleases. She’s house trained (just pay attention to her cues), spayed, up to date on vaccines, and heartworm negative. Basically: she’s turnkey adorable.
She has not had much experience with other dogs, so she can be timid with them. She’d likely thrive as the one-and-only princess, or with another gentle, smaller, non-alpha pup who respects her space and her vibe.
Daisy also LOVES food… which means she’s either super easy to train or plotting to steal your sandwich. Honestly? Probably both.
If you’re looking for a sweet, silly, people-loving little shadow who will steal your heart (and possibly your lunch), Daisy is your girl.

About Me
CJ is an 11 lb ., 4 month old mixed breed puppy. His parents were 28 & 24 lbs so he likely will stay fairly small. CJ is a very active boy that loves to play. He gets along well with the other dogs in his foster home. He is learning to walk on a leash but is slow to enjoy the walk. He doesn’t like the cold or wet ground. He is working on his house manners but hasn’t completely mastered going potty outside yet. He does use pee pads inside though. He hates his crate and cries at night but we are still working on that and there has been improvement. He has some separation anxiety and is slow to warm up to strangers. It is best to approach slowly or let CJ do the approaching. He is not particularly fond of small children, he growls when they come near him. They jump around too much and scare him. CJ is a sweet lovable soul that loves to cuddle in your lap. He will make a wonderful addition to the right home. CJ will be available for adoption on March 11, 2023. About Me
Any Great Dane lovers out there!? Meet Charlie! Charlie is a 2-3 yr old female Great Dane weighing in at 101lbs. She is a complete love bug who loves being with her person. Charlie is house broken, crate trained and LOVES car rides!!!! She also likes playing outside and exploring the yard. She does have a history of exploring too much. That being said, she would probably do better in a fenced in yard or kept on leash when outside. Charlie is great with other dogs and likes having a buddy to play and romp around with. She would also do great as an only dog. She grew up with kids in the house and is great with them. She does need work with her leash walking manners, but she has come a long way!Lydia
Lydia
About Me
Hi I’m Lydia, a 5 pound black chihuahua. I am an owner surrender who is now fully vaccinated and spayed. I am very skittish but learning to trust more and more everyday. Faith
About Me
Faith is a small mixed-breed dog between 7-10 months old. Currently weighing around 27 pounds. It did take her a while to warm up to me after her trip here from the shelter, but once she learned that she could trust me, she hasn't looked back. She loves to snuggle and give kisses. She has two larger dogs that she plays with nonstop. If she isn't taking a nap, they are playing together. She loves to run and boy is she quick! I feel a fenced-in yard or a very large yard would be best for her. We currently have her on the 26-foot retractable leash and she wants to run further than that will allow. Faith is also crate and potty-trained. She will sit facing the door, and if you don't see her, she has no problem giving you a small bark to get your attention. Faith will be a great addition to your family!Trevor
Trevor
About Me
Greetings from Trevor! Trevor is around 5-6 months, a hound-mix, weighing in at around 20lbs. Trevor came to us about a week ago, very nervous, timid and unsure of people. His foster mom has been working to earn his trust and teach him how to embrace human love. Despite his skepticism, Trevor is ALWAYS a happy boy when he sees his foster mom come back home. He has grown to accept butt scritches, offer play nibbles even started to cuddle around his foster mom! Speaking of cuddling!!! Trevor is a huge cuddle bug with all the dogs who will allow him to curl up on and around them. He LOVES other dogs and has allowed them to teach him routines. Trevor is gradually getting better at his potty habits, thanks to the guidance of the other pups in the household! This pup is always happy and always looking for the next adventure to explore. He’s also not afraid to use his big boy hound bark in hopes of getting attention or getting his way! Trevor has shown no signs of resource guarding and shares the toys very well with all the other pups. Trevor would love a home with a patient family, even better having another pup in the household to learn from and be his forever playmate!Jade

Phoebe
About Me
Phoebe is looking for her second chance… Phoebe is a sweet Terrier mix, approximately 9 years old and 25–30 pounds. She is spayed, fully vaccinated, house-trained, crate-trained, wonderful on a leash, loves car rides, and is the definition of a low-maintenance companion. She isn’t the kind of dog who demands attention. Phoebe is happiest simply curling up beside you on the couch, joining you on errands, taking leisurely walks, and being close to her people. The only thing she asks in return is that you pay the daily “tummy tax”—a good belly rub! She’ll happily roll onto her back and wait for her payment. Phoebe would thrive with a retired person or couple, or someone who works from home. She isn’t destructive when left alone, but she does become sad. After her previous owner passed away, Phoebe was left alone in the home for several days before being rescued. That experience left its mark, and she feels safest knowing her people aren’t far away. She peacefully coexists with other dogs but doesn’t need them. What Phoebe truly wants is a person of her own to love. If you’re looking for a gentle, loyal best friend who will quietly steal your heart, Phoebe is waiting for you. Lord Farquad

Sunny
About Me
Sunny aka Sunny Sunshine is a 7 year old chiweenie weighing 9 lbs. Sunny is a fearful little girl. She came from a hoarding situation where she lived primarily in her crate. She was never socialized or handled by human hands (at least not gentle human hands). Sunny has made great progress in her foster home but still needs time and patience to adjust to this new world she finds herself in. Sunny will freely enter a soft cat crate for transports to her little yard and then back inside. She still has no idea why we go outside and she continues to use the pee pads inside. Sunny would shrink away anytime you tried to touch her when she first got here. Now she lets her foster mom touch her and give her pets. She especially likes belly rubs. Sunny does not want to be picked up so her foster mom leaves her in the soft crate and puts it on her lap and opens it up and gives her pets. Sunny has begun to get really excited when her foster Mom comes home. She leaves her crate and joins the barking dog chorus. Sunny needs a home where the adopter will be patient enough to allow very slow progression. Someone willing to love her on her terms. If you are that person she is available at Double Dog Dare Rescue.Smirk

About Me
This adorable Miniature Schnauzer/American Staffordshire Terrier mix is a 5 month-old champion born with cerebellar hypoplasia, a neurological condition that affects her balance and coordination. Her condition does not cause pain and won’t worsen over time. Despite her wobbling steps, Little Girl is full of life and eager to experience everything, especially when treats are involved! She's already crate trained and housebroken with a consistent routine, and she thrives in a home with other dogs. Little Girl adores everyone she meets, regardless of age, and while she hasn't been around cats, she's likely to see them as new friends to play with. If you're looking for a loyal companion who sees the world with wide-eyed wonder (and a little wobble), then Little Girl is for you!AJ

He is Lyme positive, there is no treatment needed at this time. AJ is a kind, quiet guy, who's got lots of love (and cuddling) to give. He also loves kids! Keller
About Me
Everyone meet this hunky boy, Keller! Keller is about 65lbs, with roughly 40 of those pounds coming from his meaty block head. Keller was transported from Louisiana, where he was found as a stray with face wounds, treated, then was fostered in a home with children and another small pup. At his current foster home, he lives with 3 other pups, having met one so far! Ranging between 1.5-2 years old, this fast and furious character will never leave you bored — he is in puppy play mode daily!! From zoomies, to repeatedly flipping his toys and bones in the air, to playing tug, he keeps you on your toes and entertained! Keller has an affinity for jumping up and sitting his beefy bum cake on counters and tables to get a better view of the world he rules… And quite honestly has zero regrets about it. He is extremely affectionate, food motivated, and intelligent. This cow-like velvety hippo sometimes displays his affection through play nibbles, in which his foster has been working with him to politely let him know “ain’t nobody got time for that, Keller.” On a leash, Keller shows off his big boy strength!! But the great news is… between his intelligence and food motivation, Keller has a bright future in reaching his potential with patience and consistency in his training! He even has a heart-shaped spot on his side he’s so ready for love! He’s got a bit of energy but a good walk or play in the yard would be plenty for him. He’s dog friendly and has done fine with the cat in his foster home as well. Booley did come to us with heartworms that are currently being treated by the rescue. About Me
This sweet girl is Nikki, a 50 lb. medium-sized, brindle beauty mountain cur mix. Nikki came from Louisiana with her puppies, and now she is ready to find her forever home. Nikki has the sweetest eyes and disposition, but she is still learning to trust the world around her. She has come a long way in her short time with DDDR, building confidence and learning she is safe, but she is still very shy and reserved. Nikki really enjoys the company of the other dogs in her foster home and has learned so much from them already- playtime is the best, treats are delicious, and snuggling during naps on the giant dog bed is super comfy. The pack has certainly helped her come out of her shell and she will be a great companion dog. Nikki is house and crate trained and uses her crate occasionally as her safe spot. She is very comfortable around children, however, cats are unknown. Nikki is an amazing girl who gives the sweetest kisses- she just needs to be given the chance to shine.Ayra

Winston
About Me
Winston: 3 year old Rottweiler/American Pit Bull Terrier mix. Neutered and UTD on shots. 80lbs Winston's original owners bought him in a trailer park from an "American Bulldog" breeder. He was bought during covid so a mix of bad breeding and lack of socialization led to some fear issues. He came to me last May and learned how overcome those issues. His owners were elderly and tried their best to keep up with the training but then decided it was too much for them. Winstons only issue was acting scary when someone he didn't know spooked him. After almost a year of training with me he has made almost a complete 180. He now loves people cause he learned people = food and cuddles. There will still occasionally be a person that he is unsure of so his new owner will need to learn how to read his signals and advocate for his space when he is uncomfortable. Winston knows who he can trust to keep him safe and who he can't. Winston is a love bug. He is good with dogs, cats, and humans as long as you read him and make sure introductions are positive and not forced.Luke

If you are in the floor (or anywhere) I see it as a lovely invitation to come snuggle up with you as close as possible. But don’t get me wrong, I also love to play! My favorite toys are benebones. I can chew on those for a while. I also like to play tug and chase a ball. I am a textbook good dog and will make a great family pet or even a best friend/adventure buddy for someone that lives alone. I will probably grow up to be a medium to large size dog (Terrier mix) so keep that in mind. I like to jump! I have been working on my manners but I will benefit from continued training with my new family. I LOVE learning new things for treats. I get along with other dogs, cats, and even goats!

About Me
Hi! This is Peyton and he is looking for a new forever home. Peyton is a 6 year old husky/staffy mix that is neutered and up to date on vaccines. He is fully potty trained and does okay in a crate. Peyton is extremely loyal and food motivated. He loves laying outside, playing tug, and taking naps. He is a huge lovebug that will give you lots of kisses and snuggles. But with a few treats and some time, Peyton will be your bestest friend!Kupid
Kupid
About Me
Here comes momma Kupid, this 2-3 year old, beautiful little (30lbs) mixed breed girl came to us from Louisiana with her 8 souvenirs. Now that her momma duties are finished, she is ready for her forever home. Kupid is house broke, crate trained and the easiest dog. She is lower energy but gets silly burst of energy, her zoomies will be sure to make you smile. Kupid was a street dog prior to coming so new things may be scary for her, but she adjusts quickly. She enjoys going for walks, car rides and snuggles. Kupid is fostered with dogs of all sizes and gets along well with all of them. While she is not currently fostered with cats, I don’t think she would have an issue with one. Kupid is Heartworm positive and currently being treated by the rescue. Once her treatment is complete, she will be eligible for spay. If you are looking for an easy-going pup, Kupid is the one for you!Dior
Dior
About Me
Hi. I am Dior, but I go by DiDi. I am a mall terrier mix at about 7lbs. I am just hitting 13 weeks young. My foster mum says I am the most adorable with the little brindle spots, white face and feet, and kissable nose spots. I think she is biased, though. She makes me go to bed around 10 p.m., and I try to be my best but still feel lonely once a night when I want to play and cuddle. But I really do sleep well aside from that.
I think I am a normal puppy! I love to play and absolutely take LOTS of beauty naps. Maybe you'll want to join me?!?

About Me
Meet KRASH!! This sweet approximately 8 month old neutered terrier mix made his way all the way from Louisiana to find his forever family. Krash is about 35 lbs right now. This sweet guy is still a puppy, so he has some puppy energy, but he is able to settle as well. He loves his dog foster brother Eugene (also available for adoption) and they have a blast wrestling until exhaustion. He’s doing great with his potty training and he does fine in his crate after some initial complaint. Krash came in to the shelter in Louisiana with Demodex mange, so he’s still working on growing all of his hair back on his snoot, but it doesn’t bother him one bit! Krash is a fun, sweet and happy boy who would do well with any family!Macy
Macy
About Me
Macy is a three year old beagle mix. She came to the rescue when her owner passed away. Macy was pregnant and had five healthy puppies. She was a great mama dog. Her babies are all going to new homes so Macy is now looking for a home to call her own. She's sweet and talkative and loves to cuddle. Macy is microchipped and up to date on vaccines but still needs to be spayed which can be done through the rescue. Kleo
About Me
Get ready to fall in love!! This is Kleo. Kleo is an approximately 1.5 year old, 40ish lb, spayed pit mix from Louisiana! Kleo is super sweet and has loved everyone she’s met so far. She is very dog friendly, but likes to play hard and sometimes doesn’t respect personal space, so little dogs may not be the best fit with her. She does do fine with the cat in her foster home though, she seems to understand that she does not want to play. She prefers to be with her person/people and can get anxious when left alone. She is a quiet girl who doesn’t bark much, so she’d be a great work from home buddy. She is working hard on being totally housebroken. She is super snuggly and will lay her big head right down on your leg/foot/lap, just to be close. Kleo will make a wonderful companion and can’t wait to find her forever home!Duke
Duke
About Me
Meet Duke! He's a 1.5-year-old Great Dane! He needs a few cheeseburgers at only 90lbs. He's working on his house training since he came from a hoarding situation so he could use some general manners training. He loves all the people! He would be best in a home with kids 10 and older due to his puppy size. Due to toys and food being hard to come by in his previous home, he tends to prefer not to share, so food and toys would need to be separate, or he would be best as an only dog to get all the pets he deserves! It is recommended that Duke have a Dane experienced adopter to help with structure and manners!! Who wants to adopt a baby giraffe? Apply today to meet Duke!Didi
Didi
About Me

Kylan
About Me
MeetKylan!! This lil powerhouse is a low ridin’ 39lb (full grown), 11 month old pittie mix. She is up to date on vaccines, spayed, and microchipped. Kylan loves other dogs and would do very well in a family with another dog. She is working on her potty training but almost has the hang of it. She does well in the crate — just give her something yummy (and safe) to chew on. Kylan still has a lot of puppy sillies so will need an active family/person to help her burn that energy. She loves people but would recommend a family with older children as she is a bit of a jumper and sometimes does not know her own goofy puppy strength and wiggle “butts”. She does well on a leash and enjoys walks. Amazing in the car! But above all — how adorable is she?! That face?!! Those ears can pick up Satellite Radio!!! If you are looking for a fun, silly, wiggly, and oh so loving and snuggly new best friend, then Kylan is the just what the Doctor ordered. Get those apps in because she won’t be around long! Ashton

I love playing with my sister and the Golden Retriever puppy that comes to visit my foster family. . How rude! I love to snuggle, am great with the baby and toddlers that visit. I'll sleep in my crate without whining and can make it 6 hours overnight without a mess. When I'm taken out every 2 hours I go potty every time. Inside I'm trying really hard to remember to make sure my butt is ON the puppy pad and not just the front of me
I'll stay right beside you or come when you call when we are outside. Please consider adding me to your family Rex

Kolby
About Me
Kolby is an 10-week old female (Terrier (x) Chihuahua) that loves to cuddle with you and can spend hours snuggling in your lap. She loves to play both inside and out. Today Kolby is living at her foster home with her sister Kiki another adult dog and they all get along really well with each other.Kolby is also great with people, young and old alike. She warms up instantly to people and gets extremely excited when she sees you.
Running through the house and playing with her toys and the other dog is by far Kolby’s favorite thing to do throughout the day. When she tires out she goes right back into her playpen and naps for a few hours before starting the cycle all over again.
She does really well in her crate and spends the night in it. As long as she uses the facilities in the backyard she has no accidents inside. If she needs to go while she is inside she will use the pee-pads.
Kolby loves the backyard and enjoys playing fetch. She will fetch a ball or even a stick will do. She is slowly learning the part where she needs to bring back the ball and “drop” but that is something she will pickup very easily.
She loves to give you kisses and will snuggle up with you at any time of the day. But when she is tired she likes to be in her crate or playpen or sleeping on your lap
Patty
Patty
About Me
Patty, also known as Patty cakes, is a 1 year old boxer mix weighing in at around 25 lbs. Patty is spayed and ready for her furever family. She is house and crate trained and practicing her leash manners daily. Patty is especially fearful of small children, so a family with no little people is best. This lovable girl will need a patient family willing to help her get comfortable with her surroundings. Patty’s ideal home would have a fenced yard and another playful dog(s) for her to romp and play with. Once she is comfortable she loves to run and play. One of her favorite activities is getting her breakfast out of a Kong toy. Patty is very food motivated so training should be fairly easy with consistency.Augie

Zelda
About Me
Say Hi to Zelda! This cute girl is a 2 year old, spayed, female Cane Corso who weighs in at a trim 120 lbs. she is a sweet girl, but is still getting used to the world and can be a bit hesitant. That said, with a little bit of time and patience she becomes the most loving and loyal girl for whoever chooses to give her a chance. She would do best in a home with another playful pup as having a canine companion around gives her a boost in confidence. She is crate trained, potty trained, and has done fine with cats and other small animals.Kolt

About Me
Meet "Kolt of personality"! Kolt is a one year old 50 pound Terrier Bully mix. Kolt is full of energy and will need an active family, preferably with another dog to play with. Kolt loves everyone and everything. He's not shy and very sweet. He's perfect in his crate, is great on a leash and good about going to the door when he has to go out. Due to Kolt's rambunctious side, he'd be best in a house with no small children until he settles down a bit. He's very much still a puppy. Gabby
About Me
Meet Gabby a sweet and lovable spayed Boston terrier. Gabby is around 18 months to 2 years old and weighs 24 lbs. She is mostly house broken but has an occasional accident. Her foster family has not figured out her signal that she needs to go out yet. Gabby does pretty well on a leash but could use some more training. She knows sit, stay, bed. She walks into her crate when told to. She sleeps all night without a peep in her crate. For the most part Gabby gets along with the dogs in her foster home. She has been aggressive toward the little chiweenie(chihuahua/dachshund mix) a couple times. Usually because she has gotten near her foster mom, who she is already very attached to. We are working with her to help her understand this is unacceptable behavior. For this reason and because of the hoarding situation she came from, she may be better as an only dog. Gabby’s favorite thing is to nap on your lap or in a sunny spot. Contact Double Dog Dare Rescue to apply to adopt her.Tutuola

Sassy
About Me
This beautiful dog goddess is Sassy! Pictures certainly don’t suffice with how gorgeous this girl truly is! And this girl is just as sweet as her beauty! Sassy is said to be around 2.5 years old. She looks to be an Aussie Shepherd her foster momma believes. She’s a little timid when new people walk toward her but warms up quickly! After a few short days, Sassy quickly declared to her foster momma that her Love Language is physical touch! She absolutely loves physical affection and she’s not afraid to climb all over you and demand all your love. Sassy has been living with two other dogs at her foster home and she does well with them. She hasn’t completely submerged into playing with them, but she does watch them play as she sits by her foster mom’s side. Sassy is typically a very happy girl! She’s always wagging her tail and she loves being outside. She’s very playful and loves to play tug! She’s been great with kids and would truly fit into just about any household! We are unsure how she is with cats, however. But we DO know that this fluffy beauty would love to grow into your best friend!Lillian

Sansa
About Me
Hey everyone, I’m Sansa! I’m a 1 year old, 50 lb mixed breed, originally from Louisiana but recently returned to the rescue due to unfortunate life circumstances that led my people to have to make the heartbreaking decision to rehome me. My paperwork guesses my breeds anywhere from hound to lab mix, but my new foster mom thinks maybe lab/Australian shepherd mix. I’m already spayed and I’m also totally housebroken. I’m ok with friendly dogs and I like cats but if they run, I will chase them! You can’t see in my picture but I’ve got a beautiful brindle coat. I’d make a great hiking or running partner! I’m very friendly with everyone I’ve met but I do jump occasionally so I may not be the best fit for someone with tiny kids, just in case I get so excited I knock them over. I’m a super sweet girl who gives tiny sweet kisses. Though I like my foster family, I’m ready for my forever home.Nala

Ryder
About Me
Hi my name is Ryder the miniature schnauzer. I’m a ride or die kinda guy and will be at your side no matter where you go. They say I’m 10 years old but I still feel like a puppy. When we go outside I will run circles around you, literally. I have a few bumps and a couple missing teeth but they don’t slow me down all all. When you leave me alone I will find my bed and rest up, when you come back it’s a huge celebration of dancing and singing. I prefer my bed in the corner of the room over furniture and I’m fully house broken. I get along with all the animals here at the farm but honestly I prefer to focus all my attention to my human. My dream home is to have a human that I can spend the days with. Maybe someone retired or working from home that needs some love and companionship. Kids and other pets are great, I like them but won’t interact much.Schitt’s Creek

About Me
Hi! I’m Maggie, 4 month old mixed breed pup from Louisiana. I’m playful, but love snuggling on the couch. I get along with the other dogs in the home and I am curious about the cats. I’m currently working on house training, but I’m doing great!Pip
Pip
About Me
Pip is looking for a loving family to give him the life he deserves. He is a young 7 years old in Italian Greyhound years. (They are known to live into their late teens!) He weighs 11 lbs, was recently neutered and is on a special soft diet, due to having only his canine teeth remaining.Pip’s life hasn’t been easy—he was used as a breeding dog, malnourished, and confined in a small pen on wood chips! Despite his isolation and lack of basic care and comfort, this little guy is full of love for humans and eager to learn. He needs a home with another small dog/s for companionship and confidence. He is learning so much from his foster siblings. Snuggling with them has become one of his favorite activities.
Pip is a delicate boy and can get spooked easily. He will do best in a home without small children and large dogs. The ideal home for Pip is one where someone is home most of the day to help him continue his house training, and make up for the years of loneliness he endured. While he currently wears a male belly band diaper, he is making progress every day. He will not poop on a leash, and should not be outside for long periods in cold weather, so a fenced yard is a must. Pip gets very excited about treats and walks, but he’s basically a couch potato.
Alta
Alta
About Me
Alta is the sweetest 2-year-old beagle mix you could ever meet. She came to the rescue in 2021 with her 6 puppies. She was adopted but recently returned because her family could no longer care for her. Alta originally came into the rescue as Heartworm (HW) and Lyme positive but received treatment and is now HW negative. She will need to be kept on HW preventative for the remainder of her life. She has continued to test positive for Lyme disease but is not displaying any symptoms. Alta is house and crate trained. She walks well on a leash but that beagle nose makes her stubborn at times. If something catches her eye or nose, she will go after it. The person at the end of her leash needs to be prepared or could easily be knocked off their feet. Alta loves other dogs and children. She is very interested in the cats in her foster home but so far has not shown any aggression toward them. Alta’s favorite pass time is sitting on your lap getting pets. Alta’s wish list contains: a family to love her; a fenced yard but would be happy with lots of love, attention, and walks; a dog friend to play with and; dog-friendly home where she can curl up on the sofa!Tempo

At his foster home he has been exposed to other dogs, cats, and children and he does great with all three. He has normal puppy energy but will never complain about curling up for a nap with you. About Me
Hi, I'm Poppy. I'm a 35-pound, 6-month-old pitbull mix (maybe shepherd or Rhodesian Ridgeback, I didn't know my dad) and I am looking for a furever family. I am spayed, crate trained, and know basic commands. I have loved all the dogs and people I have met over the last few months. I love to go for walks, catch lightning bugs, and swim in the puppy pool. I'm very smart and highly food-motivated so my foster mom said I'm easy to train. I'm very prey driven so a cat-free and critter-free house would be best. I also like to climb so a secure, fenced-in yard would be ideal. I love to give smooches and lay in your lap. Do you have room in your home and heart for a gorgeous lovebug like me?Schitt’s Creek

He loves to run so a fenced yard is preferred but he is content on a long lead where he can still roam the yard. He does not like to be confined in small spaces. He would prefer to be in a home with another dog or an active family. Angel
About Me
Angel Is Looking for Her Forever HomeAngel is listed as a 4½-year-old, 20-pound mixed breed, although honestly, it’s hard to tell exactly what she’s a mix of. What we do know is that she’ll be whatever you want her to be, as long as you love her.
Angel is Lyme positive, but she is currently undergoing treatment, and we fully expect her to have no issues once treatment is complete.
She definitely prefers the attention of her humans over hanging out with the other dogs, but she gets along with them just fine. She also has a bit of an A-type personality and knows what she wants, so don’t let that fool you into thinking she isn’t a sweetheart. Angel is an absolute lover. She’s always happy to see her people and is ready to give you all the love she has.
She’s already spayed, housebroken, and ready for her forever home.
If you’re looking for a sweet little girl with a big personality and an even bigger heart, Angel might just be your girl

Sugarplum was abandoned in Curtis Bay Industrial Park. A UPS driver noticed a dog in need back in November. Upon with talking with people, we learned she has been living and surviving on her own since March. Sugarplum came to us with 3 pups, after we located her pups with a thermal drone, she was trapped.
Sugarplum came to her foster parents being very unsure of people and her surroundings. She was an excellent mother to her puppies. She was a protective mom but the puppies were the easiest and best puppies that her fosters have ever raised. Her puppies are now adopted and doing well.
Sugarplum has been a easy foster when it comes to crate training, housebreaking and basic manners. Sugarplum does have a high prey drive, but she listens well to commands but not ready to be trusted off leash. She lives with 3 fosters sister dogs and a foster brother dog. She plays wells with them even when they have gotten too rough.
She loves her foster parents and she is still learning to trust new people. She loves to snuggle, car rides, walks, chewing her bones, playing ball, doing zoomies in the backyard, looking out the bay window but best of all she likes to watch everything her humans are doing!
If you like to learn more about Sugarplum, please check out her FB page “Sugarplum and her pups”, if you think you can be her human and help her to continue to grow please fill out an application.

Simba
About Me
Hey there! My name is Simba! I’m an approximately 2 year old, 50ish lb spayed pitty. True to the breed I am an absolute bundle of love! I get so excited to see people I can’t stop my licker and I will try my best to curl up in your lap. My foster family is working on getting me to stop jumping, but I may not be the best fit for those with the tiny or frail since I don’t understand I can knock someone over with my joy at meeting them. I do really well with using the potty outside and I may protest for a few minutes in my crate, but I settle quickly as long as I have something comfy to lay on. I’m a bit of a puller on the leash because I want to see and smell everything! I can’t wait to find my forever family!Dixie
Dixie
About Me
Meet Dixie, a stunning beagle/chihuahua/maybe dachshund mix weighing in at 26 lbs. She has a loving and very sweet temperament. She loves everyone she meets especially small children. Dixie is approximately 2 years old and is spayed, housebroken and crate trained. Once Dixie gets settled and comfy in her new environment she is very playful and attaches herself quickly to her caregiver. She is truly a lap dog! Dixie came to the rescue with an old injury to her left rear leg. The injury has healed but left her with a limp. She was taken to the rescues vet who determined she was not in any pain and could function fine without further treatment. Dixie gets along great with the other dogs in her foster home, always running and playing with them. She does, however want to be the dominant pouch. She is very curious about the cats in her foster home but just sniffs them and walks away. Dixie listens well but is very food motivated and has to be fed separately from the other dogs because she tries to eat everyone’s food. Dixie walks very well on a leash and will be an exceptional family pet. If you think she will be a good fit for your family and you have an approved application in with Double Dog Dare Rescue, contact your coordinator to schedule a meet. Not approved yet, get your application in to the rescue asap because this beauty will get adopted fast!Felecia

Say hello to Felicia! This girl is the sweetest 100lb baby you will ever meet. She is a 5 year old Catahoula Leopard Dog. She is housebroken, crate trained, spayed, microchipped, and up to date on all her shots. Felicia can take a second to get to know you, but then she is the most loyal companion you could wish for. She is extremely smart, and will need a family who will give her lots of play-time. Felicia would love a fenced yard, but enjoys going on walks and car rides. Catahoula Leaopard Dogs may have a high prey-drive, so a home without small animals is recommended. Ikura

Tawny
About Me
Hi — I’m Tawny!! I’m a female 9 month old Black Mouth Cur/Shepherd mix. Just came up North and am hanging with my Foster family until I meet my “Forever”. I still need to be spayed but that is financially taken care of by the Rescue. I love other dogs and would do very well in a family with another dog. Boy, do I love to eat which my Foster Mom said is great for training— yum yum yum! I’m still working on my potty training but am definitely getting the hang of it— going to the door when I need to go. I do well in the crate — just give me something yummy (and safe) to chew on. I still have a lot of puppy sillies in me so will need an active family/person to help me burn that energy. Above all though, I just want to LOVE! I want to be with you, and snuggle, and hug (yes, she hugs), and smother you with kisses. If you’re looking for a new best friend who will think you are the greatest thing since sliced bread, then I’m your girl! Munch

He is working on perfecting his potty training and is crate trained.
